Which magnetic cleaner is the best one for 1/2 inch glass tank in term of easy to use, clean, durable and easy to replace pad/blade?

Magnetic cleaner with blade

Mighty magnet. Ive used then all was able to pick up a might magnet used and its perfect. Magnavore and algae free are second and third.

I have the Magnavore 4er and the tiger algae free both them does not razor blade attach. I am thinking to add the razor blade on them but not sure if they work. I have the flipper before but magnet not too strong compare to other branch.

The mighty magnet with all the pads don't need any razor. It literally removes encrusted stuff with ease. I have a flipper as well for blade action.

I have the algae free and magfloats with razor blades... which razor blade are you looking to attach?

Forget the magnet scrubbers. Get this aluminum algae scrapper with razor blades. Cuts thru algae like a hot knife thru butter. Best tool I've ever bought to clean my tank. The blades are inexpensive too.

I switched to a flipper. Wish I would have found one sooner. The Mag float I was using would get sand under the scrubber and I now have scratches in my tank.

From my experience with the flipper its best put in the tank when used and pulled out when not. I've had mine over a year the pad side will grow algae and I've noticed my blade/scraper side is warped. It doesn't clean as effective anymore. I'm sure there are replacement parts. But cost wise I might just do the razerblade wand my brother swears by....

Algea free since I am using it on my tank right now.

I use the easy blade scraper super glued to the magnets; has worked nicely for a few years now.

my algae free blade is rusted from not being in use.. let me see if I can find where the spares are.. then you are welcome to try it.

Although seems like that model is not sold anymore...??? BRS and everyone else have the replacement blades..

Years ago at a BAR meeting, the speaker mentioned that magnetic glass cleaners are not recommended to leave inside the tank as things could get caught/grow between the glass and magnet and scratch the glass or acrylic.
The floating property of some magnets was to prevent the magnet to detach and fall to the sand where it would catch tiny rocks and if not cleaned, you guessed it, scratches; not to mention really hard to dive it out of wherever it landed, specially on deep tanks.
