I have a 150g 1/2" thick cast acrylic tank and two 6000's on a 7094 controller. I can say to others that this system is killer. My algae growth on glass, substrate and inside some coral plates has been greatly reduced or eliminated. My tank and inhabitants are healthier and I often see the fish "riding the waves." Thanks.

I want to lose the bracket system but concerned about the bulky look of the magnets.

1.What are the overall dimensions of the magnet?
2.Is the "0.47" suitable for my tank thickness?
3.Does the magnet require a short length of the pump bracket (U-shaped with pivot) be inserted between the pump and magnet or does the pump somehow connect directly to the magnet?

The 6080.50 is what you want. Yes, you need the little mounting bracket with pivot, the magnet holders are a universal holder, they work with almost every product we make and you use the holder to modify them. The holders are about 3/4" thick.
