Hi All,
Have had my Magnifica successfully now for 6 months but for the last 2-3 weeks ive been unable to get him to eat anything. I was hoping that it was just because he was getting a bit to each when I feed the tank as a whole rather than needing to target feed him. He used to greedily accept half a prawn every 3 days. I decided to test my water and found that everything was perfect except for my Alkalinity which is 15dKH and am wondering if this could be the reason he is unhappy. He has moved to an odd spot, his tentacles are thing, his mouth is large, inflamed and loose, he is darkening in colour and he looks like he has deposited slime a few times over the last few days.
Just wondering if this could be the reason for his stress or whether its most likely something else that test kits cannot read? If I did a 20% water change would this distress him even more due to fluctuating levels?
Thanks in advance
