magnifica survival rate better on certain size you buy or does it matter?

I am looking into buying my first one. Not sure if smaller size has anything
to do with easier to keep.

As you probably know, finding a healthy specimen is the toughest part, so in some aspects size doesn't matter. Regarding size and health, IME most of the smaller mags were the healthier ones. My assumption is that collection and transportation of the larger specimens is tougher and requires more care, which could lead to mishandling.

Since it's your first one, I suggest looking for a local reefer who is selling theirs -- you'll have the highest rate of success.
