Magnificent Foxface- Tank Size?

Got a chance to get a magnificent foxface but only have a 75 gal tank to put it in. I am wondering if this size will be OK

I am planning on getting one more fish after the mag. foxface which will be either a flame angel or a mystery wrasse then that will be it.

I'd say that after rockwork a 75 is going to be too small for 7" fish (thats if it doesnt grow to max captive size).

I have one in my 90 gallon. He is about 5". Hard to tell if he is "happy" but he seems to be thriving. Had him about 4 years now. He doesn't seem cramped like the Kole tang I had in there.

emoore, how big was he when you got him about 4 years ago? Just wondering if they grow fast. The one I am looking at is about 5 inches. Also I don't have a lot of live rocks in the 75, just about 50 pounds. I have an additional 15 pounds of live rocks in the fuge.

Hmmm I think he was at least 3" when I got him. Didn't seem to grow that fast. Well he has gotten a lot fatter though!

The not having a lot if rocks will be another issue as they really like to graze all day.

Sounds like the tank may be better for a smaller sized tang like a kole or Tomini but both will need a mature tang as they will like to graze as well but like the more open rock work better. They are also smaller then the foxface.

You are probably right Jason, after looking at the tank and picturing a foxface at 7 inches. There not a whole lot of swimming space. I think I'll stick with a variety of fairy wrasses.
