How big is it? That one actually looks like a BTA with the white streaks on the mouth.

It's about 1.25-1.5" across, that's why I'm not sure :D It came from a tank with a ton of BTAs of various sizes but the tank also has aiptasia, so it could also have majanos... having never seen one in person, just trying to make sure.

Looks like a baby BTA to me.
Taking the C. taxifolia (don't get caught with that one in CA!) as scale it is larger than the Majano I've seen so far.

It should be c. mexicana... but pretty much any green feathery caulerpa is suspect here. ;)

Photo of the foot/base if it helps. Please pardon the diatoms, it's in a newly set up display fuge that's having a bloom from the new sand.

Awesome, thanks everyone. :) It'll stay in the display fuge for now (lighting is 6500k but should be adequate) because if my clowns or porcelain crabs in the display find it I doubt it could handle hosting anything at its size!
