Majestic Angel and Zoas

I have a majestic angel in my tank. He's very hit or miss with zoos. The only pattern I can detect is that if the zoos are not doing hot, he will eat them. For example, I see a pretty little rock at the LFS, but some of the polyps look closed up and maybe a little fungusy. I know that a dip and good tank parameters bring most zoos around, tough little buggers that they are, so I buy them. Put them in the tank. Within 10 seconds, the majestic does a quick drive by. I do a double take. ZOOOOOM another drive by. Half the colony gone, just like that!

If you love zoos, I wouldn't risk it, unless you want to set up a seperate zoo tank. However, there are many zoos in my tank the majestic has not touched. There are zoos that have taken for a turn for the worse in my tank, and then they get eaten. That's happened at least 2x.

Has your majestic angel eat any Zoas in your tank?
Not yet. :D
This Angelfish is not the zoanthid assassin that a Regal is.
Kiss any Cynarina or Scolymia good-bye, though. Sponges, too.
Prone to hit any coral that's not doing well or recently fragged.
Never bothered my clams. See pics in my gallery.
