Majestic Angel ok in a 90 Gal?

Good plan. Most dwarf angels are just as or more beautiful than the larges. And would do good in your tank. They hang around the rock work more, and dont need the long swimming room. Good luck

What's the most reef safe dwarf angel? I heard dwarf angels love to nip on sps and clams. I like flames and potters or golden angels. What do you think about those?

From personal experience I'd say the "reef safest" dwarf angel is the multicolor followed by the coral beauty, but it really all comes down to individual specimens and luck!

LOL, If you find out let me know, hehehehe. There is talk that the males have longer gill spines, but im not sure. Mine has really long spines, so im gonna say its a male. Good luck

Leopard Man: It all depends on the fish. Ive seen flames be great in a reef with all corals and clams, then others will eat everything. That goes will all angels. Someone on here told me that is it better to get the dwarf angels small, like around 1-1 1/2 inches long. At that age the fish have not found a taste for corals. I cant comfirm that but it does sound right. If you get a younger fish and get it use to living off dry foods, they will less likely try corals because they want see them as a food source. Hope this helps,

Michael

Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I really want a dwarf angel, but I'm not sure if I will try it. Getting them small and used to prepared foods is a good idea. And yes, the multicolor and coral beauty are nice.

Right now I went barebottom and I traded my leopard wrasse:

Currently have:

1 copperband butterfly
1 Lawnmower blenny
1 cleaner shrimp
7 turbos

On quarantine are:

1 Male and Female lineatus

Considering on getting:

3 blue chromis
1 Dwarf Angel

Any other ideas of what I should add or what I should replace the dwarf angel to? Or any other fish I should replace?

Cheers

Ive always heard multicolor angels are right up there with lemonpeels as being least reef safe....Anyone else want to chime in...

I currently have a potters and Love it...even eats frozen mysis but usually sticks to picking at the rocks...Once I can get my rabbit fish out of my tank I want a watanabe angel! Can you post some pics of your lineatus wrasse...I just got a submale(was ment to be a male but oh well..hopefully it will color up)

I don't have a decent camera at hand. Will post it when I borrow a cam from someone. Tell me more about your lineatus. What's it eating and its behaviour. Cheers.

A couple of days ago I brought my majestic home. She is small and is in my 120. Violet, my purple tang won't leave her alone. She chases her around the tank and seems to body slam her whenever the opportunity allows. I really like BTTRFLYGRL's idea of a time out tank. I may need to resort to that. The purple tang also took some fins off my maroon clown. I'm thinking of changing the purple tang's name from Violet to Cujo!

Do you think she will eventually allow the majestic to swim in peace?
