I keep a 125 sps dom mixed reef several years old. Ive recently noticed my lps and softies looking shriveled and out of their usually fluffy character so I started testing more frequently and checking all my dosers and timers, lights etc. everything was testing normal all equipment working fine. A week ago I notice my clams mouth is GAPING open and a day later one of my fav acro colonies is rtning. Now at this point my zoas wont open, none of the polyps on my acros will come out, the tank is in overall dissaray. So I test and again, everything is spot on. I decided after another day of things getting worse I would replace all my ragents for my test kits and try again. Low and behold my CA test must have been bad for god knows how long because my ca has dropped to 165ppm!!! How bad is this? Everything else still tested ok so my question is this; Can a Ca level this low negatively impact the corals the way in which I have described to you. Lastly how slowly would you bring it back up? I was thinking over a 10 day period. Thanks for reading guys and girls -Greg
