Making Clown Colors Pop

Is there a certain kind of food or something else that i could feed my clowns to really make there colors pop? I have a 2 black and yellow clarkii clowns and i currently feed them formula one flake foods.

Thanks for any input,

I may get bombed for this, but I've never seen a clarkii "pop". They just don't seem to be in the color range that really stands out under certain lighting. Still, I'd think a redder bulb like an aquasun would make their colors appear the best.

With that said, nothing brings out color in a fish like a healthy, varied diet and good water quality. Flake food is decent, but fresh and frozen is the best. I have heard people claim that cyclopeeze brings out redder color, but never really noticed that myself.

I was wondering if i could make the yellow look yellower, there tails and fins are bright yello but there bodies are kind of an oranger yellow, or if i could make the black look darker

I have two tru pecs and I swap out flakes and mysis I'm thinking about introducing some brine into their diets my lfs was telling me a vitamin supliment helps bring out the colors

some clowns are dull and some pop.

I'd suggest feeding krill, Cyclopeeze, VibraGro, ORAglow, and (last but not least) New Life/Spectrum pellets. The results can be extremely noticeable.

Thanks for the replies, im gonna go with what Gary Majchrzak said and get the VibraGro, ORAglow and the New Life Spectrum pellets and feed each one throught the day and ill also mix it up with some mysis every now and then, i hope it works
