Is it because of the Cold

I believe so, yes.

Mine usually does a little better than that. That is pretty slow for 100gpd.

Mine will do maybe 40 to 45 gpd in winter.

Add about 100' of tubing to the intake side of your RO/DI unit. Now put that in your heated salt water reservoir. The tap water will run through the warm salt water on its way to the RO/DI, get heated up and give you better output.

I do the same with a bucket, I put a heater in it and coil the feed line up. Works like a charm.

i have my input line looping around my heat duct work. of course it is in the basesment and it is in the unfinished part.

Have you checked the p.s.i. at the tap? Mine is only 40p.s.i.
If you talk to the manufacturers of most RO/DI units they will tell you you should be between 65-90p.s.i. for optimum efficiency and limited waste water. I bought a 7 stage unit from Fliter Guys with Pump and got 120g from a 75gpd unit. They told me that is common output w/pump upgrade.

I had to shut off the water to my drum last night because my Top off water reserve only had a gallon or so left in it. I'm not sure on the new system how much top off water I go through with the new tank, but I'm sure its not enough to make that big of a difference.

Drum as 40 gallons and my top off this morning is still less than half full. I need to get more tube so I can warm the line before it hits the RO unit.
