Male snowflake - How long before it becomes female?

There's a small snowflake clown at a LFS - I'd guess he's about an inch or just over an inch -, and he's been in the tank with other fish but no other clowns for about 6 weeks now. Any guess on the chance that he's still a male?

Went back today. He's actually grown to about an inch and a half. I will probably still go get him tomorrow and cross my fingers. The one currently in my tank is just a little over 2 inches

Use an acclimation box/specimen container if you have one. 20-30 mins should do it.

That clown is still too young to turn female.
Mature, well fed male can turn to female in a little as 6 weeks.
I breed clowns. I had a mature breeding Percula pair. I split that pair up and pair her with another clown and put another male in with the male. The two males pair up, well fed they lay their first patch in 6 weeks.
My conclusion is that clowns (at least A. percula) can go from male to functional female in a little as 6 weeks.
