malu anemonie

who has one of these? and any suggestions to keeping it happy, ive had a good read on them but i like to see written posts from guys and gals who have had 1, and any suggestions and advice etc, thanks guys
 
well at least i think its a malu anemone, he ate well today, heres a pic

Looks like a sebae to me, not one of the easiest host anemones to keep alive. Also sebaes normally come white or yellow. These are bleached/dyed and should be avoided. They should be a golden brown usually. Feed the anemone twice weekly with meaty items, provide good flow, and they like strong lighting. Hope this helped.
 
thanks guys, he ate a fish i gave him today, im hopeful he will be ok, fingers crossed, hes directly under a t5 lamp and a white LED, he isnt really white, more miscoloured really, i think the t5s make him look whiter than he is, ive just surfed the net actually and your right he is a seabae, thanks for your help

Nice H.Malu you have there Michael, many people confuse them with H.Crispa which has long tentacles and prefers to plant its foot in the sand under a rock. H.Malu likes to plant its foot on or in a crevasse on your rock.I have 2 H.Malu in my 75 and they love silversides every other day.
