Malu or Crispa? What do you guys or gals think?

This is the malu anemone I received today from Live Aquaria. Please tell me that it is a malu. It does not look a lot like the recent aqusitions that Minh and others have posted. The tentacles are much shorter. It is about three inches across. It has been in my tank for about five hours at the time of the picture. I turned off the power heads for a while to allow it to settle in and it has not moved.

Please guys and gals tell me what it appears to be.....

It does look like a small Malu. You just have to wait a few day and see. He should get de-stressed after a few days and we will guess better.

The one way i can tell is that usually Malu has lines on the tentacles.

DR.Macs were Malu just stressed out, Orions are Malu as well.

We are in Austin safe and sound. The electricity to our house is out. It we do have automatic generator. Will see if all my preparations are all worth it in a few day. Hope my house still standing once Harvey go through then back again..

That look like a H. crispa. Both Malu and Crispa have common name of Sebae.

Crispa, that's the one I ment. Is the crispa one for the rocks or the sand bed?

Crispa usually live on rock. Your anemone is bleached and will need feeding, but don't over feed it. Hope he will regain his color quickly.

I know, I've not seen one in a shop that isn't! It's very sticky and firms right up if touched so I think I've got a good start. I've had plenty of success with carpets and bubbles and my last sebae was coming on great but tank bred clowns chewed up the mouth and pulled insides out!

Normally, in my experience, clowns will only do that when the anemones are not in the greatest shape or still getting aclimated to a new tank.

I find tank bred clowns are terrible at looking after nems! I find you can't beat Clarke's or maroons
