Mandarin 6 month mark

Have had my mandarin for over 6 months now. Have him eating supplemental pe mysis and brine along with plenty of pods. He looks chubby to me but wanted to ask those who are more knowledgeable than me as this is my first tank/mandarin, is he getting enough to eat?

(Sorry for dirty glass in last picture, not cleaning today as not to stress new coral additions from this morning)

Congrats!
She looks wonderfully healthy, lol, like fat even.
Can she really swallow pe Mysis or do you mince them?
Continued success!

Thanks, yeah he eats the pe mysis whole. Some times it takes him two bites to fit some of the larger ones but he does it none the less. He will swim right up and eat them out of the turkey baster.

he's looking great, keep up the good work. :)

i love seeing these guys fat and happy.

Thanks, might try and find a female for him and see how that goes next. Quickly becoming a favorite species of mine, so much personality and gorgeous to boot.

Im jealous. Do you do anything special to feed him? Like the feeding station or anything like that

Not really, maybe just been lucky. All I've done is manual target feeding, I turn off power heads and main pump once a day and target feed him pe mysis or brine. Other than that he's just happy grazing on pods all day. I'll find him a female some day and implement a system like Paul B has, its a really sweet set up!
