Mangrove/refugium/frag tank question

I have a spare 30 gallon tank that I used back when I first got into keeping an aquarium. I plan to turn it into a mangrove/refugium and plumb it into my main tank, but I was wondering if it would be possible to make it a frag tank as well? Do you think that would cause a problem?
