Mantis BIG

Klaus has some more ORA SPS in right now, or did on Saturday while we were there. Sold lots of fish that day to

^^^
$20 and its a "normal" mantis and not the "rainbow" one, per the owner.

cant wait until thursday!

I was in Bills tonight and the bald guy said it would probably be around a month or 2 before they got another one in.

NOOOOOoo. It was the bald guy that told me thursday. NOoOoOooooo.

P.S. Their tanks looked like crap/ brown algae cycle/ when I was in there, any better?

Maybe, just maybe he's not counting the one I have on hold. (Crosses fingers)

Sloppy seconds worked out!!! Maybe in my favor. EEEWWWwww!

I picked up a beautiful Peacock Mantis tonight. Just under 4 inches, I measured. So a tad smaller than the first one Bills got in.

Pictures to follow.

pics are a must, the tank you built for him looked pretty sweet. I may have to steal you abilities for a new nano tank once mine sells

Awesome. Did the tanks look anybetter? Did they lower the price on any of the stuff yet? Mystery Wrasse for $189.... to rich for me

i dont think im gonna buy anything there till those tanks cycle for a good while. When i was there the first day they didnt know what a cycle was

Tanks looked better but not great. I got a call from an older guy that was pretty smart when it comes to saltwater. He asked me what seemed to be all the right questions about keeping a mantis. The guy that handled it was scared shatless and a girl wouldnt even come close to it. They got another truck load of fish, so the water quality will probably suffer another shock.

The mantis loves all his/her caves I made. I dont know if it will make a home out of any of them yet. I dont know if its a boy a girl yet..wouldnt know if it slapped me in the face with its ding a ling..but I'd probably have a good idea then.

I picked up a pretty big clown (15$ still in the bag). I know it will probably be shrimp food. Some had luck with the two together.

More pics on my other thread. Making you work for it:]

i agree on their prices. i wont be buying any fish from them until they realize they are trying to rape me

some of their smaller fish are decent prices, but other than that it is way overpriced. havent seen any of their corals have any color at all yet either. Ill stick with coral reef for my fish deals.... whenever i decide to go down that road again

Not sticking up for Bills, but the clown I got was for sale at two other fish stores for $35.00. I think the guy might of given me the wrong price.

yea 15 is a nice price for a clown. they had a real nice bright green zoo colony the first day they opened but they wouldnt sell it because they said it was to "help them cycle" and now its shriveled up like a prune :( i hope they get some nice stuff in soon

Matt - Cycle the tank like all of us had to do to get started, Nitrates and Amonia

How does coral help it cycle. The big vat of live rock would help it cycle, but why kill the zoos to cycle it.

The place will be cool when it is up and stocked for sure. I am sure that their over head is killing them out there to. I just hope they don' t think those prices are going to make it in town.
