mantis diet

well ive had a blood red fire slicer in a 5.5g tank for about a year now. all is well and he eats great and is healthy but theres a catch. he just wont grow. he has consumed tons of crabs, kreel, and comets since ive had him and hasnt grown at all. i want to have a 10 incher and im getting confused, any mantis freaks have any tips or comments?

set up some pics of him and I can give you the scientific name of the little guy that might be your growth issue

please don't feed fresh water fish to him. They don't have the proper fatty acids for its health.

sorry no pics. photobucket and all that confuses me. anyhow, hes completely blood red and has the smallest amount of blue tinge to the belly of him. ive switched the comets to silversides moggyhill. just dont know whats up with the growth rate. oh by the way, whats the compatability of corals and mantis shrimp?
