Mantis ID?

I do not own this mantis or anything but... According to the wikipedia, They provided this picture, and claims it to be G. smithii???

Is there a wrong identifaction here on the wiki or am I not looking at this from the right angle again??

This one seems more colorful than O. latirostris

It's to easy to alter colors etc. in photos and videos but I am certain that someone asked the same question a while ago and Dr.Caldwell said it was an O. latirostris.

I seem to remember that pix was taken with a filter to show the color flashing or display some mantis use to to communicate with other mantis. Sort of along the lines of a threat or mating display. Something that happened that we can not see. But I may be confusing this with a different study I read so don't take my words for fact. Kind of like when you take pix of flowers with polarized lenses to show what a bee sees. I hope I am not confusing my arrivals on this one.

It had something to do with them using flourecents to identify mates I think? I heard of something like this also..

Yes but I am not 100% this pix was part of that study. Yet again we need the wise words of the good Doc to show us the light.
