Mantis in a AGA minibow?

Sure, but having kept a mantis in a 2.5, I really don't recommend it unless you find a really small species. N. Wenn might work, but they are really messy so you have to keep on top of it. I'd say go with an eclipse 6 or a minibow 7.

would a 5 bow. be good? because im looking for the smallest tank possible as a side tank because i htink mantis look awsome.

Deffinately better than a 2.5! I know how you feel though, and I love bow tanks. I have an eclipse 6 on my desk right now I'm going to set up for a small mantis too.

I have a minibow 5 right now ready for my N. Wenn to be delivered tomorrow. I have some friend that have house and N. Wenn in their 5 gal AGA fine for the last 2+ years.

i have 2 in a 2g eclipse explorer. yes many people said they would kill eachother but i have 2 of the smaller species that stick to their caves anyways, so there has not been a single issue. both of mine reach a max of about 30 mm so they're little guys, i mean girls...

* im not saying go put two in there im just saying that a small species would for sure work in a 2.5g minibow. water quality would however be a little easier to maintain in a bigger tank.

just a tip though, while i have kept two successfully thus far, having two shy ones isnt nearly as entertaining as having one interactive one*
