Mantis or Pistol shrimp?

Opps I stand corrected for a year now I thought I had a pistol shrimp. This guy has been causing problems for a year now and is a real killer. Just goes to show you can't tell whats in your tank just by all the crashing noises. Not unuasual for him to fire off six or seven loud blasts in a row. I have only seen him three times in one year and only for a second but he sure has killed a lot of hermits and snails by blasting holes in there shells. For an ID on the critter check this link. Mine is dark green and has grown to over a inch in size.

Fahz good idea on starting a new post on this topic. I'm just not sure what happened to the remains of my missing fish and shrimp. Tagging along for some reading.
