Mantis Shrimp???

I am helping someone (long distance) with critter diversity and he sent me a pic of what he called a praying mantis looking cute green shrimp.

Is this an actual Mantis Shrimp? I dont want to scare him until I know for sure -- it's in a 30 gal with no fish but he is expecting to add some soon. I want to hook him up with correct info.

Can someone confirm what this is? I have no personal experience with mantis or pistol shrimp. It looks like this thing is coming out and hanging on the glass -- no fear! I dont see spear or smasher claws. Healps !

That....is a spaghetti worm -_- lol


It looks kind of like a shrimp in that picture, but that seriously looks like either a spaghetti or possibly a medusa worm
