Mantis??

Whilst attempting to find a Eunice Worm, we managed to flush this out. I'm assuming this is a Mantis of some kind. Could we get ID for this. Pretty relieved, we had heard some clicking at night but hadn't fully expected this!

Post this or have a mod move it to the mantis forum. I guarantee one of those guys will give you a positive ID. That one is better looking than the normal N. wennerae hitchhiker. Is it still alive?

Aw, poor little guy. If it's still alive, someone will definitely come and get it from you rather than kill it.

To me, it looks like a Neogonodactylus wennerae also.

Sadly he died, we didn't know he was in the rock, we were more concerned about the Eunice (which still evades us). Had we have known, I'd have kept him until someone wanted him. We are new to all this and only have a 22 gal nano, so no sump. Any tips on Eunice worms would be greatly appreciated! The one we have seems to have moved, unsure if the stay in the same burrow for life? If they do... we have two.
