March meeting: Bring one, Take one

I think this would be most successful as a lotto style like suggested. One frag max is also a very good rule, so peeps are just offloading junk for something else. If we have everyone line up in the order of their tickets, the exchange should only take minutes. Definitely, a great idea.

I like this idea. It might be rough going the first time, but by the second time we do this it should be smooth sailing and go very quick.

Since this is the first time, 6:30 may be ok. I think you will realize that we only need 10 minutes to do this and 6:50 would be much better a time for all.

This should be loads of fun and I'll bet we see some nice surprise frags added to the exchange by generous people. In addition, if we do this each month, I'll bet we start to see the proverbial 'fruit cake' make its rounds month after month.

I can see a trainwreck coming when the announcement is made to go pick out frags.

How about doing it periodically throughout the meeting (depending on the responses). You bring a frag, you get a ticket. Paul pulls the ticket and calls it out (or writes it on a white board board so you don't interrupt the speaker). The ticket holder shows thier ticket to Paul, selects thier frag and then gives Paul the ticket and he pulls the next one.

I like the idea of the whiteboard! Paul, its your show, but if ya need a board, I am sure I can convince my son to let us borrow his easel for the evening. Just let me know!

I really think we can swing the who;e thing before the meeting. I want to give that a shot for the first time. This is already getting a bit more complicated than I originally intended. Let's just roll with it this time and if there is a need, we will tweak it for the following month.

Great idea Paul. Concurrent with the raffle should be interesting.

I knocked of a frag of my Ponape Birdsnest while doing some work in my tank. Point out the common stuff everybody has and paid too much for section when I get there.
