Gregr,

Are people allowed to outright campaign for their photo? Please check these links out.

This photo has gained 20+ votes today, and if this is allowed, I would like to plug several photos in my local forum as well.

Doesn't seem fair. Quess everybody is going to have to beg for votes!

150,000 plus members on here, I am sure the best pic will win. Does not really matter if a person asks for votes or not, they can only vote once for themselves, everyone else has to do their own vote.

If this little situation does anything, it will get people to come vote that would never had gone here in the first place. So maybe spreading the word a little about this contest is what we all need to do because I am only seeing about 250 votes so far.

Campaign for this contest is also campaign for this forum, and a very nice Calendar that will help to support this entire community. So lets stop pointing fingers at one another and start getting more people in here to vote and support Reef Central.

I really liked the composition on 27, although the DOF could have been improved. You got my vote. Kudos.

I spent 30 minutes looking at these pics intensely. I managed to break it down to 3 pics. I am so torn and wanted to know if there was any acknowledment given to the 2nd & 3rd place pics.

I have three and can't decide. I'm going to look again tomorrow and maybe just maybe I can decide.

Aliie, the top two images are winners for each month. At the end of the year, 12 images will be selected from the pool of winners for inclusion in the RC calendar.

17 is good. had a hard time deciding between it and 2 which has excellent framing.

20 isnt actinic enough or at all.

27 is cropped. if your going to cheat at least keep the ratio correct. otherwise its a great pic.

just an ex 35mm junky so what do i know. i think everyone is missing it with 2. set it as your desktop (off the large version) just looks good.

27 is not cropped. What you see in this picture is what I saw through the lens. It was taken in portrait orientation (vertical) and resized to 900 pixels on the longest size as required by the contest rules. Not sure why you would call that cheating.

The full-size original is 2304 x 3456 (8MP).

Jeffbrig......... I think your picture looks great and I think it takes alot to put your picture out there and be willing to accept criticism for what you have done good or bad.

Maybe on next months contest we could be blessed with a photograph from the 35mm junky :)

I give up!! #17, 20 & 32 are my favorites. I don't know whos is who and that does help. I want a #17 & #32 they just jump out at me as great specimens and 20 is just beautiful in its texture and color.

If they weren't all so good it would be easier but I have cast my vote.
