Marcs 6x3x26" Peninsular Tank

I am also after some feedback on this stag coral below. If you can see there are some white patches on the top side of the coral. It seems to be getting better after i lifted my alk to around 9-10dkh. There is some new polyp growth. I am interested in seeing who else has seen this and what they attributed it to. I dont think it is due to lighting as i ave found a similar response from a frag of this that is lower in the tank.

I had some issues with my tank as a result of what i believe may be old tank syndrome due to the build up of nasties in my live rock and sand bed. I decided to take out my rocks and let them die off and clean them and create new structures. I am after some feedback from everyone. And yes i will be cutting off the rods.

wow! Your tank and mine are almost identical except that your tank is up and running... i am saddened that didnt see the design of your tank first before i ordered mine... you have a great idea regarding the wave box... it will save a lot of space in my tank if i saw your thread.... care to share how do you manage to secure that no water will leak out of the wave box glass cage? Thanks again man...

and if your interested pls drop by my thread and check the designs for any floss... http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1799736

Thanks for the response. The wave box is merely siliconed to the tank with a single hole for the tunze pump drilled into the end wall. Nothing special really.

cool!!!!, and I love the way you are building your rocks.. looking forward to see more pictures in the future.
All the Best

Thanks. I plan on adding some cement to the joins to strengthen things and make each pillar a little more stable. After soaking they should be OK to go in by the end of March early April depending on how much cement I use and curing time.

Next to the custom fluid reactors
the other reactor what is that ???

That is a nitrate reactor using sulphur beads. I have since taken it off as it is a potential time bomb if not monitored and managed. I used my Aquatronica to control the redox level. I find live rock and water changes are the most important. I don’t even run a deep sand bed and have undetectable nitrates on both my Tropic Marin and API test kits.
