Marine Ornamental Industry Group

Hey all....

I am not sure if this is the right location to post this notification, but I am hoping that a moderator will help if necessary and move it to the proper location.

Recently, there have been changes to the way we import Cites animals. US Fish and Wildlife have been enforcing new policies since May 1st 2008 and it has been a set back for many of the countries exporting cites animals.

Most countries are scrambling to catch up and make changes to the new requirements so they can resume business as usual.

There was a lapse of communication between the Cites Convention, US Fish and Wildlife and the Aquarium Industry. Most of the industry was not informed of the changes, and actually had we known that the new changes were coming, most of these changes in regulations would have been remedied.

In the spirit of better communication and a unified Industry, I have opened a group on Google where anyone interested in keeping informed on Industry changes or news, will be sent notifications as they arise.

You must join the group, and sign up. It's freeeeeeeeee.....so if you are interested, please follow the steps below and be part of something that should improve the Industries network.

Best regards.....

Eric

Thanks Gresh......

I appreciate that. Now let's hope we get a strong showing of support. I am feeling very positive about Fish and Wildlife being supportive of the group, and I have been receiving emails about updates which tells me that the lead fish and wildlife agent is looking to support the group.

Have a great day!

Eric
