Marine tank using "pond liner"

Hi All

does anybody knows if pond liner, can be used with salt water???

I live in Caracas, and I have an OUTSIDE refugium, directly lit buy the sun.

the effect in the system is awesome, so I am thinking on going bigger, so I was thinking in using pond liner instead a concrete tank or other

manufactured plastic water tanks are to tall and have a small area, So I planing on a very shallow 15 inches maximun, for better light penetration

I dont see why salt would interfere with plastic. As long as its not metal, or doesnt have any sort of lead or metalic elements in the plastic, that may leach, it should be ok.

That fish place store has a large touch tank in the store and it is saltwater and they use a pond liner. Works great.
