OK, well i had already read the article writen by Samala (thank you BTW it was VERY helpful) and I was just being bored on my day off and decided to skim through it. As some of you know i am planning a Seagrass tank and recently my dad has become very mad at the excess tank we have laying around (75g, 24g. NC DX, 10g, 30g cube, 90g, 20H, and a few others..) .. some of which (the 90g. and the 30g. Cube) i will be setting up again VERY soon.. but not as my Seagrass tank.. so anyway i can either use a 20H or my 30g. (36x12x16) .. so anyway i would like as much Water Volume as possible. so i was skimming through Samal's thread and read:
"Shoal grass roots penetrate an average of four inches into the substrate and are much shorter than those of turtle or manatee grass"
So anyway since im only interested in Shoal grass and Halophila.. could i keep the sand bed down to like 4.5" ???? is it at all possible???? Thank you.
