I just order a Marineland 120 (48 x 24) with the Marineland Monterey stand-red oak. Will I be happy?
What are your thoughts?
I noticed while digging through specs. the glass thickness on the Marineland 120 is only 10mm or slightly more than 3/8 of an inch. Do you think I should be worried?
For reference the AGA 120 is 1/2 of an inch on the long sides and 3/8 on the short sides. I believe the recommended thickness is 1/2 inch.
Maybe I just worry too much.

my issue with marineland stands has always been the lack of space they provided especially in height. you are limited on some equipment choices at times which is a shame.

I have a mixed reef in that same tank (and stand) for two years this December. It made it fine even with a move to new home last year. I did change the plumbing to Herbie style and ran return outside the back. Also made change to canopy to hang my reefbreeder fixture.
Quality of glass and cabinet work is great. You will love it. Enjoy your new tank.

120g Marineland

120g Marineland

I have this tank & stand (Black finish) and it got my wife's approval.

I have plenty of room underneath. I would like more length underneath, but I only had room for a 48" footprint.

I have the 150g Xtall 4x2x30t" with the Monterey stand in black, very nice setup but make sure you have you sump exactly the way you want to have it. If your sump will not fit in the doors you'll have to modify the stand to get your sump out later. Im going to have to put a customary cut on the side of the stand for a door to change out my sump design for a Herbie overflow

My Monterey stand has side doors that slide out on each side and the front doors swing open with no cross bar or support in center so it is easy to change out sump either way.
