MarineSnow Wiped out sps! Beware

Did half the recommended dose in my RSM 250 Sps dominated tank and when the morning rolled around just about all my sps was bleached. Called 2 little fishies and they didnt even call me back. Very dissapointed.

The tank was cloudy in the morning and the skimmer looked like it was pulling dish washing soup out of the tank.

It sounds like you have a bacterial bloom. I would wager that it wasn't refrigerated.

I buy it not refrigerated and put it in mine with out any problems. But after I open it it goes in the fridge.

Yes, it needs to be refrigerated after opening. If you allow it to spoil and then put it in the tank, you would basically jump start a bacterial bloom.

Is Marine Pure Ultimate Snow any different?, it is made by Warner Marine

Sorry for your loss but I'd say bad batch or user error(no offense)..

I've used it on and off for a while and never had any issue whatsoever. And imo if it was a danger or common the Internet would be full of dead tank threads..
