Maritime Aquarium Behind the Scenes Tour

I believe since she moved them into a different folder on the site the pictures no longer have the correct path...

Looks like you'll have to wait till next Sunday and see it in person!!! I know I'm excited to see it again...I got more questions to ask that I didn't think of while I was there...

Nice pics, thanks for sharing!

I can still view them on 2 different computers....I'm a bit confused....

Chances are, your computer is reloading the images seeing as you've already viewed them on those computers. I was getting the "sorry, this person moved or deleted this image" message. Photobucket has been really buggy lately, so that's not necessarily the problem.

Their reef tank doesn't look that big!...did anyone mention to them that they have too many tangs?

:eek2: just kidding...it's a joke!

Lol...it was a pretty awesome tank, he said it was about 500 gallons. I was impressed with the penetration from the LED's they had over the tank.

Hello everyone!!! So we are getting ready for round 2!!!

Now since this is going to be a larger group I have a few requests, please try and be at the aquarium by 9:50AM. You can park right in the parking garage next door, we paid 7 dollars for the time were there. The reason for early arrival is our guide is able to bring us right through before the general public gets there and we can avoid some crowds.

We will be departing the lobby for the tour at 10AM sharp. Please purchase a regular aquarium ticket and join the group, I will be in the ticket purchase area and direct you where to go while we get the group together.

Some key things to know about this tour, our guide is a reef aquarist at heart so it will be different than a regular tour of the aquarium, we will be touring everything fish related and reef, from the tanks, equipment, food prep and testing.

It's going to be alot of fun!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Please let me know if am missing anyone, will be take attendance as people show up...remember please try and get there for 9:50AM. The tour will leave at 10AM sharp, if you are running late for some reason, you will be able to catch up as the first 20-30 minutes we are around the touch tank and a reef tank...

Again, by a regular admission ticket and I will be in the lobby to direct everyone.

Can't wait till tomorrow even though my feet are probably still gonna be in pain from standing all day, lol. And my group is down to 3. Not sure if that makes a difference?

Have fun guys....if it is anything like our tour last week it is going to be a blast. IF you have the time definitely make the side trip to Greenwich Aquaria...it is worth the the 10 min drive!

let me say this "this wuz by far, the coolest reef weekend ive ever had!!!" Bfish, your the bomb. after everyone left me and missy played with the stingrays for hours.

after going to quite a few aquariums, this might not have the biggest, however it wuz the cleanest, and most taken care of facility that ive seen. bravo to this, and to all the people involved.

and for all of this im truly thankful.

now a nap!...lol

PS pics to follow ,after nap...lol

Thanks Chris, I really appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you and Missy had a great time.

I stayed after and talked with Mark (tour guide) for a bit, and he said as a thank you for setting it up I could come meet his favorite cephlapod (sp.) I got to hold, well she held me and tried to eat my ARM, but I was an awesome experience to play with an Octopus. She is super strong and real awesome.

Look forward to doing more trips down the road, please share any photos for everyone.

And as always, anything about the.visit that was your favorite?
