Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Great new fish, but I'm partial to the Cirrhilabrus naoko!

What happened to the other BL you were getting during BAYMAC?

Me too Sara. What weird is that when I was speaking with Kevin on the phone about them, "the swimming in circles" and then death was very similar to what I had gathered from a few other people on last years batch :(

Yes, it was sad to see mine go that way after doing well for a couple of weeks. I think I might take a try on one more again and this time in the 45G cube

Also, I'm sorry to hear about the larger BL passing :(

And...my new Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis

Blueline.jpg

Unfortunately, it turns out that I will not be adding the second one after all :sad1:

Sooooo sweet Mark!!!

If you need a second...you know where to come...I have 3 extra :)

Nice scores on the fishies Mark. Love the baby blueline and of course the Naoko's is sweet. Love me them wrasses.

Are you talking about the wrasse? I have had too many issues with new ones over the past few months. I have had 3 different types that did well for weeks eating like pigs just to start breathing heavy and/or swimming in circles one day and dying:sad2:

Yes, it's a potential collection issue I guess.

Yep, and that is the "best guess" from a few different people :sad2:

The breathing heavy resembles cyanide poisining IMO or they are bringing them up to fast for decompression:( I got into a heated debate with a wholesaler over a year ago. He blamed it on my Prazi pro baths so I stopped doing that and still had the issue.

I had the same suspicion on the last pair of wrasses I added. One started breathing heavy after a few days and died. The other appeared to have some sort of bladder issue, started swimming in circles, upside down, sideways etc...then died :sad1:

Thats bladder issue is common in rhomboids :(

That's what I figured on the second one. Are there any treatments for bladder issues? He was in QT but while trying to research for a treatment he passed and I stopped looking.

Sorry Dan, I do not have have any references or sources for treatment. My rhomboid did the same thing, the "tumor" went away, but it was blind in one eye for the longest time. It passed shortly after the TOTM feature :(
