Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

I was about to say, man that thing not only grew but morphed. Maybe it's the way the colors appear on my laptop. Love the color of the eyes.

Ian, already got it but thanks! I'll show you what I thought it was tomorrow.

Ian- Dan thought it was something you currently have up ;) another hint, it's the infamous "dragged by biting" in Kenny's thread :p

No Dan, It isn't ;) That is the BGM.

Bubble Gum Monster ;)

I have had my wavy seas from day one nad since they are above the glass eurobracing, they have held up so far. Does that mean they will not go out today; who really knows? I do know that I do not really need them as they do not have enough flow going through them.

How about a Saturday evening shot :)

Your making me inpatient for my tank to come. Looks like I'll have to start saving for a box from you. Look great as always. :D

Patience is the key Brian; you know that. This hobby is always about "hurry up and wait" :p I am sure I might have a coral or two left in the tank when that tank in ready ;)

Wow! Killer pic, Mark! Just great.

Thanks Tom. The WB is was off on the whole shoot of photos, but not bad for only the third time of shooting the D90 and 50mm on the tank. It getting close to another round of shots and I will definitely be playing around a bit more with the custom wb as the expodisc just won't take with the D90. Its works great with the D40x, but not with the sensor on the D90. I am still a bit baffled why, but I am sure I will find that happy medium sooner or later.

Sheesh, use your teeth to cut a frag for a friend and you're labeled for life.:p I thought that it was the other chalice that I sent to you via Biggs, CA.

I've found that the Expodisc has a different effect on every camera I have. Just as you said, you've got to play around until you get it dialed in for each body.

BTW, your use of the 50mm is very interesting. The F1.8 setting, together with ISO-800, is allowing you some fantastic shutter speeds! Gonna have to get mine out. Haven't used it in quite a while. Of course, your noise situation, with the D90 is much better than my D2X. You're probably getting 1-1/2 to 2 more usable stops!

Damn you take some good photos Mark, the last two shots are superb. Your skills are certainly improving.

Thanks Tom. I was very surprised that the Expodisc did not work in the tanks application but it worked just fine in a dimmer room. I sure miss that tool :( So far, I'm having a lot of fun with the 50mm. It has also made me think about getting another prime lens; maybe the 85mm. I know that this could just be the "want" in me as I should be saving my pennies for a 24-70 :p
