Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Mark,

Are you still running the tank BB?

-Dave

As of today, the tank is BB. I started removing the sand 8 weeks ago. In the latest pictures you can see the grey PVC that was laid down when I set up the system 20 months ago. I do have 100lbs of arogonites soaking for my "next great idea"

I figured today was as good as any to let the regal out of QT and acclimation. The lights are out on the tank as the jocs wasted no time saying hello to their new tank mate :(

Here is a shot from earlier on when she was eating some PE mysis in the acclimation box

Mark,

Your tank looks simply AMAZING as always! Love the diversity and placement of all your many pieces.

By the way, could you post a pic of the "real deal" coral from Tubbs? I've not seen one and was curious what all the hub bub was about a couple pages back ago.

Thanks,

Dave

Yeah, I'll be interested in seeing if the Jocs gang up on her. Her colors are stunning.

I think the "œTub's Real Deal" is an Acropora echinata.

The real deal echinata is more of a collector piece than anything else because of the species and the lineage. Its a cool pale green color. Unfortunately, mine is placed in between a couple corals and I have never been able to take a picture of it.

Well, it's great to hear that the angel is eating. Let's just hope the jocs will play nice.

That Jay, is the million dollar question. I really think its highly doubtful that they will have a warm welcome for her. She is the smallest fish in the tank, by far.

Let me help you out Mark.

Thanks Lam. I still need to get a hold of Roy, but I was hoping that I could meet him down in your area in the next week or two. Let me know if you will be around ;)
