Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

:hmm4::hmm4: your killing me

Save your money and get the Aquariumplants.com regulator... I've owned almost all of them and they all sucked! Just do yourself a big favor and spend the extra, if it's extra, money and get the the right one the first time!

I've never been so happy with a regulator or just about any other piece of reef equipment as I have been with the Aquariumplants.com regulator... It's THAT good!~

Yep, but butterflies love SPS and lps even more than angels. Besides, there will be no adding of livestock for two months. A very knowledgeable friend suggested that I not add anything during my slower than average two month ramp up period and I'm going to follow his advice to the T on this subject ;)

Mark,

I've had great success keeping the Pyramid butterfly in my tank and I know Brian has as well. Are the Tinkeri's a little more liking of our sps's & Lps's?

Yes Dave, I would put the tinkeri in a different class than a pyramid or copperband. There will always be exceptions, but as for likelihood of causing damage in a tank, I would put a tinkeri higher on the list than the pyramid; especially since I have a pair of pygmys and a regal.

Ok... sorry but what's the name of this gorgeous piece? I'm not hip to all the names so please help a old reefer out, lol!~

Sorry Dave, but this piece has been around before all the cool names. I just call it an awesome looking coral :thumbsup:

Ha ha... you mean you just bought it cause it looked good, lol? J/k...

That's what it's ALL about Mark!~ :wildone:

Pretty much...I think its a 4th generation coral that has been in captivity for close to 8 years. I buy and trade nice corals, I don't need a fancy name to tell me that I like them :p

4 generations... Wow, that's pretty cool! My last tank was almost all 2nd, 3rd plus generation pieces from a couple of close reefer friends.

Only a few store bought/import pieces.
