Here is older shot of the bonzai before I had to chop it up due to an ALK fluctauation last summer. I was onlt able to save about 1/4th of it. This picture was taken my old olympus underawater camera. I just wish it was waterproof for more that 4 months

Here is another shot of the bonzai from this afternoon. I have the original garf and it is nice. I have the original Bali Tri and it is nice; but this coral rocks

Mark, what happened with your Olympus underwater? I was actually going to buy that one. I figure that camera would give me the best shots with my lack of skills.

I had the 770. In fact, I still have it. It was a great camera, but one day it started leaking at the lens; no good. My wife bought it for me for christmas as I bought her a canon powershot. She never buys the warranty. That is when I got my Nikon and that was only 6 months ago. That camera was realy nice, but get the warranty.

I hope the newer Olympus is better sealed. Im looking at the 1030SW. Do you think the olympus is a good fit for me? Keep in mind that I am literally a point and click person I really like all those close-up shots

They are sealed the same. The problem lies where the seal around the lens and retractable lens shield is. I have a few friends that have them and only one other has leaked.

Why don't you just get a real camera so when your tank grows up, you won't have to get a new camera.

How hard is it to learn to take photos? It really isn't a hobby of mine. I love looking at photos, just not taking them.
