sometimes i think some of you guys spend too much money setting up tanks and then get upset when things go wrong, you cant accept anything less than perfection and i respect that but, noobs can accept their own failures and move on.

i hope i never end up Burnt out on reefing.

Mark dont sell the tank!!!!!!!

Rob, I want the red sea version just as they are more colorful. Tim had the indian ocean version in his reef and its still very nice.
I think that if I keep telling myself that I want the RS regal knowing there aren't any coming in, there is no conflict with my zoas :D

Did you go to LA as well? I picked up a golden blenny from YR today. Rich was out there so we BS'd a bit. Its always good to see some of the "good guys".

Ya they can be a lil brighter in color. No Lala land for me, been gettin a lot of nice fish from the Bay area corals are not that great these days any where!

I talked to Rich a couple months ago when I was @ YR. You know he is itchin hard to get back in ;)

Yep, he was over and we were talking about his old tank and possibly the new one. We were also discussing lineage and the state of the hobby. It was good to see him around a tank again. That guy knows his stuff.

BTW, Brandi, who you worked with at the mtg company, wanted me to say hello to you. She helps out at the day care where my daughter goes ;)

Yep, I am an old 33; almost 7 years sober and spent the last few years in the mortgage industry. Its time to enjoy life a little more than I have in the last year. Its been rough.

My wife just had a biopsy done and we finally got the results back. There are more important things than my reef tank; sometimes I forget that. Change is coming, I just don't know how much.

Yep, I was a branch manager for a large mortgage lender until last March. Since then, it has not been fun. I think you or John should hire me to be an operations manager and to take pictures for your guys' websites

PLEASE RELEASE ME AND LET ME GO!!!

You are blessed underwater to be able to get out of this industry!

I think most people in the industry feel this way.

How bad is the mortgage industry nowadays? All I know is the 300k equity I had in my house has vanished.:( The only good news is that I am not upside down, yet...

It is not fun. Everyday, banks are tightening guidelines and are finding ways not to lend money. I come into work every morning to find another program that is getting cut or modified.

I guess we should leave this topic alone as I do not want my thread to get closed :( Thanks

Ouch! That didn't take long. I saw another one at Exotic, but he seemed to be trippin, so I left him there.:(

He was tiny. I really knew better that to get him, but I just "had" to get him. Oh well, maybe I can replace him with a pair of something else

:fish1: :fish1:

A leopard in a reef huh................brave man!! I like the yellow tail Tamarin's as long as you don't want to keep any shrimps or crabs, oh ya snails to when they get big LOL.

I'll tell you what Rob, The one I am starting to worry about is my radiant. Its lower jaw is now rounded and Tims radiant has both his upper and lower rounded. They are both over two years old, but they are starting to get "that look"

Ya they can be lil beasts as well!!! All of my wrasses "happily" chase each other around all day. Lucky for me my wrasse tank at the store has no inverts except a star,a couple of Belize turbo's and a sea hare so no munching going on!!!

I've been pretty lucky as I have always kept 2-3 cleaner shrimps, a fire shrimp, a harleqin and recently, I picked up a coral banded. My biggest problem is that I still have a couple hawaiian hermit crabs and they like to eat snails. I guess its about time to catch those and get some more snails.

What do you think about keeping scarlets and blue legs in your reefs? I know that Tim only keeps snails these days.

I don't really like any crabs at all but IMHO Scarlets are the best bet. The problem is once they get big and hungry all bets are off. I did just drop a few scarlets in my nano about an hour ago to help with Algea a little though. They work well for those awefull macro algae's
