mark, great build thread - gorgeous tank!

Thank you Kenny. It was nice to meet you today at the auction.

congrats on the split, and sorry but the crew will be coming soon. get your putty and super glue ready :D

Thanks Bart- to tell you the truth, when it gets too bad and too off topic, I just unsubscribe and come back to it in a couple of days. Once and awhile I'll join in, but I'd rather be looking at my tank through a lens anyways :D

No No Terry- Bart is definitely welcome here. His trials with his fish have helped immensely. If fact, I have got a lot of great advice throughout this thread. Even you Terry chimed in with the silicon on the grooves. :)

I will keep my posts here on topic :sad1:

I do not want to restrict your creativity :D

What a day. I was cleaning the tank this morning because I was expecting a couple visitors this afternoon and some how my waterlevel raised ablove my skimmer discharge and my sump was filled with skimmer waste :(

So, about 45 mins before Tyree was expected to come over, my tank has filaments everywhere as the excess nutients was being redistributed into my tank :worried:

Needless to say, it was a nice visit. Steve and Brian, the MARS president, came by to check out the new tank. I have met Steve a couple times before and its always cool to talk corals with people who have a lot of stories.

Thanks Steve for coming by and I hope you enjoy the corals.

Congrats on the split sorry to hear about the skimmer I have had that happen a few times and drives me crazy

Thank you Tanya. I just need to remember to flip the switch. It has happend 3 times and today I finally figure out why it happened; duh :) It seems like something always goes wrong when you are expecting guests or making one last change.

Well since the thread was split and there is no eye candy on the dark side yet, I decided to unveil a very special piece.

Here's a low aperature shot. In camera language Terry, it is known as f-stop. Notice how only a small part of the picture is in focus.

Wowee!! Beautiful. What kind of coral is that?

Again, I love your coral and photography skills

Terry, That is a red polyp'd undata. Here is a higher aperature shot. That means more of the coral is in focus. Notice the contrast of the sweet cobalt blue rim

Thanks Bart, That picture was taken 30 minutes after fragging a small seed colony for someone else and another frag as well

Here is a picture of a bonzai that is gaining more and more fans

Wow, that blue rim IS great contrast. Loving the contrast on the bonsai, too!

Thanks for the photo lesson :)
