Apolemichthys arcuatus

Truly beautiful. I had to tell him to pick it up... I wanted to bring it home and sleep with him next to me in the bag when he landed!

Sweet Fish Mark!!

Exotic had one of those a few weeks back.

Thanks again for the frag and the tank tour.

Any luck on the RS YB Regal yet?

Chris

Yep, Exotic had one, but it did not fair too well.

I am still waiting for the RS regal. There had been a lot of changes going on with CITIES of th elast few months. I can wait patiently for the right one.

The maculiceps has not recovered from the tail beating dished out by the achilles. It began to show signs of infections, but I was not willing to tear down my reef in an "attempt" to catch him so I could work on treating him.

This morning when I was looking at the tank, he was not in his usual cave. I finally found him near the surface. I grabbed the net and in my 1st swoop, he was in the net; A little luck never hurts :)

I now need to a little more research on treating the fish with either Neomycin or Kanamycin and Nifurpirinol.

Hey Mark, are you dead set on the Regal being a RS? IME I have had better luck with the ones from Sumatra. I have had in a few and for me the RS have not faired well lately. I can tell you though all of them have been Zoa munchers as I'm sure you know. A few years ago the Red Sea ones were the best by far and now it doesn't seem that way. Heck I could just be lucky though too ;)

Rob, I want the red sea version just as they are more colorful. Tim had the indian ocean version in his reef and its still very nice.
I think that if I keep telling myself that I want the RS regal knowing there aren't any coming in, there is no conflict with my zoas :D

Did you go to LA as well? I picked up a golden blenny from YR today. Rich was out there so we BS'd a bit. Its always good to see some of the "good guys".

What does a Saturday contain when you have a sick fish? For most people, not too much. Just pray and watch. For a sick obsessive reefer like myself, I wait until the 6 reef visitors have left today and I break out the chop saw :D

OK, nothing too fancy but I got the tank stand all completed and put the maculiceps into official QT.

I also hit 3 fish stores looking for medication. I found some neomycin. I will be hunting tomorrow as well. I have two products that I am looking for. I hope to have a little better luck.

Thanks Jeremy. I figured I could forgo a little sleep in order for the maculiceps to get a medicated bath.

Besides, the European championships started yesterday so I was up watching match anyways

Sure bring them over. Emma told me that we need to go to see the "ishies" today. At least that is how I took all the jibberish. :D

:p

I stayed up and watched most of Turkey vs Portugal ;)

Sounds like you have a busy day yesterday!!!

Did Warren finally see his fish???

Yep, Warren and Lou came by for at least an hour. I did not get to start on the fish QT until they left sometime after 9.

Thats good that you got it finished though!

I'm sure he was stoked on the Angel!!

Good luck with your maculiceps bro!!! LMK if I can help :)

Large deepwater angels are sometimes really tricky to get eat :(

So far I have tried, mysis, brine, bloodworms, angel formula, formula II, live brines, clams on the half shell, artic pods, fuzzy phytes, blue zoo, spectrum pellets, spectrum flakes and nori.

Jeremy,

I have been a little down as the maculiceps is not doing well and Warrens bandit still is not eating and started showing signs of stress including ich yesterday :( Warren said that he got a great deal on the fish, but taking care of other peoples coral and fish is very stressful.

I was happy to find kanaplex and neoplex, both by seachem, at a LFS. When I was walking around I also spotted a 2.5" blue and gold juvenile leopard wrasse

Here is a decent shot of the golden blenny I picked up yesterday at YR.
