I wanted to try something new on my tank. I had an extra blue wave and an extra Lumearc mini, so this is what I came up with

Thanks Jim and Jeremy for giving me a hand today.

How about putting him in the qt until he gets used to living in a little glass box, eating prepared food without competing for it, and de-stress a little bit. Also get a chance to make sure he doesn't have some disease that could infect a good portion of pricy fish.

Just a thought...but I know better. Get us a shot of him once you put him in.

***edit ...too late...:D

Thanks guys.

Jason- I had him in a acyrlic breeder specimen cup and he was eating brine and mysis in there. He got two good meals. I did not want to leave him in there overnight. I believe he would have the best chance if I released him when it was dark. I am also only planning on a few hours of VHO's tomorrow. Like I was told in th past, they will work it out between themselves if it is meant to be.

So far, all is well. I don't think he has has his own territory yet. He is staying really close to a couple particular acros.

Came to check & see how the release went. Sounds good so far, keep us updated. I have to plan on a way to release my angels w/another pair on angels.....yikes:eek1: :eek1:

Nice Little Fish Mark!! Hopefully the Achillies will leave him alone since he is so small!

BTW, thanks for giving me Matt's info. My anemones may have a new home at the Steinhart and I couldn't be happier!!

no problem Rob. I look forward to seeing the new facility up and running.

On a side note, the black tang had his 1st encounter with the achilles. Achilles 1 - zebrasoma 0. Now that dominance has been established, we'll see how it goes from here.

Ok, I was working of free hand macro shooting today and I have a lot of work to do. The tang is very small and moves around very fast. It is way difficult to catch through a macro :(

Very nice Mark. I was kicking myself when I saw Jim beat me to that BSJ earlier today.:( Are the ballasts annoying you, or are they gonna stay up on top for awhile? And, did you get a FTS comparing the 4 MH vs. 3 while you had the lights on briefly?

Jeremy, I did not get a FTS as I've had a few reef visitors over the last couple of days and it was time to shut it down for the weekend. I will be ordering another radium this week though. I am looking forward to my new hanna coming in this week as well as giving that new carbon a try.
