Hi Mark,

Everything is looking great.

Just wondering what the last 2 pieces of chalice on the previous page where called?

Take Care,

Chad

Amazing. Your, what I assume to be anyway, grafted simplex is the best I've ever seen! The red stag is a knock out as well. Everything looks so good!. One thing I must add, I think you forgot the colony shot of your EJMTM undata

Thanks. For a long time I had that piece turned around a I like the green better :) I did not forget to take a picture of it, I did not get enough time as I was home taking care of my sick daughter. Besides, no one wants to see a colony that has some frags cut out of it

That what I thought. That ones on my short list to add. So is the grafted simplex. Might be the hardst coral to get seeing how someone lost their's.

Brian- The Grafted Simplex is a cool piece, but they are way better corals out there. I broke off two branches with I was dipping and QT'n. I have had it since May of '07.

Hey Mark,

On the grafted simplex....I would imagine you would need to have a frag w/ both colors to have it grow out w/ both colors? Just wondering

I love this tank....I was reading this thread the whole time through the problemed times and I would read how you had thrown so much away but man I just can't believe it...You've come back pretty darn strong IMO. All that hard work has really paid off...Looks like the corals are doing great

Chad

Mark,
What type of sand are you running? I've been thinking of adding a SSB to my tank lately. Perhaps it will add some more stability to my tank, etc.

Thanks Chad. I am not sure on the grafted, but that is what I have always suspected; but, over the last month, I have seen more swirls higher on the base of late.

I really appreciate the people that have contributed to this thread and my tank by either posting here or by PM'ing me along the way. The greatest thing about an online resources is that we can learn so much from each others experiences; both the trials and tribulations :p

he's using a mixture of different grains... #2 and 3

Chris, much like Jay said I use a mixture of 2 & 3 grain aragonite sand, but I also used some heavier aragonite as well. Its almost like the smaller grain media used in reactors.
