Thanks John.

If it only took you three hours to read this thread, you are either a speed reader or I need to post more :p

As for your question, my skimmer is fed off of my frain lines and it has its own seperate ball valve. I only used one ball valve as I still use the small ones that come with the tlf reactors. They seem to get plenty of juice to do their job as the media is constantly tumbling.

As for extra flow, I don't even have my snapper open all the way as I do not like tons of flow going through my sump. In my system, that duty is employesd by the tunzes and vortechs.

To be honest, I just use the show as a printable document then I select show all posts. It goes quicker that way, plus you have a ton of photos. The thread is good, just a little more like an adult magazine with less information to read through with more eye-candy to look at. Brings me back to my teen years!

As for the plumbing specs, thanks...

I do not want to take away from your thread as it's great in it's entirety I have PM'ed you about the plumbing instead of posting it here.

I had my first scare today. My dad came by today to play with our dog and he called to tell me that the lights on the tank were off and that the microwave was blinking.

I asked him a couple questions and it seems that my madness did have a method. My main pump turned back on and I had a vortech and a tunze that also came back on. The left panel that is hooked into an external gfci did not come back on. I have never really been sold on those but once you push the reset button, the power returns. Its either that in the possibilty of having a spill or the possibility of Emma getting hurt :(
