Maroon Clown Bummin' for a 'Nem?

Our clown is consantly rooting around in and trying to get under the shrooms in my rhodactis patch. I have a patch of about 15 rhodactis that are 3-4 inches across and this fish is constantly trying to get comfortable amongst these shrooms.

I feel like he just isn't happy and we are thinking that if s/he had a Nem to cuddle into the fish would be a lot happier.

Fish eats heartily enough when there is food but he is very reclusive and hides a lot behing the shroom rock.

To make matters worse I recently added a powerhead that was blowing a strong current into his favorite hiding spot. This seems to have made him even more unhappy as his favorite hiding spot was taken away from him.

I moved the powerhead but I am thinking that this fish is never really going to relax and feel like the world is OK until he has a proper home.

Should we go ahead and get him a god sized bubble tip?

god sized, funny.

BTA's are hardy and natural hosts, so that would be the logical choice. Just do your research. Nems in any display tank can cause all sorts of problems that should be considered first.

Do you know if the fish is wc or tank raised? A bta could make him happy but if he was tank raised he may not host right away. Be careful if you have coral that a bta could kill because one will move about until it finds it place, usually not where you'd like it, good luck.

Not to hijack, but..

I too have a single maroon clown that I feel "needs" an anemone sometimes. I have a spot that I'd like for it to be, but chances are it would move.. I don't want it stinging all my sps and other corals, is it worth a try or should I just scratch the idea?
