Maroon Clown Picking at Snails

So today when I was feeding my tank the nassarius snails came up out of the sand and my Maroon Clown went over and bit the snorkel of one of the smails.

I have had snails go missing every so often in the tank but always assumed they died for other reasons.

Would the Maroon Clown attack and eat the snails?

My possum wrasses do that as well.

If they are so careless to put their snorkel out, they will get attacked - why should they have it better than our U-Boots
