Hello, I am upgrading from a 90 to a 125. I have a 3" maroon clown that has been in the 90 for almost 4 years. I want to add another maroon to the 125 and see if they'll mate. would it be better to add it when i move the clown from the 90 to the 125 before it has a territory or should i wait and introduce it slowly. I want to get a sebae for them both to share once i have the new tank going with better lighting than the 90( 8 T5HO 54 watts and 2 96 watt PC's as compared to the 4 65 watt PC's i have now ). Any thoughts or past experiences would be most welcome

get a tiny maroon (<1") and put them together in a 5g bucket when you move tanks. the extreme size difference should make the new one submit instantly. of course, observe closely.

my maroon used to let an orange skunk clown share it's anemone before the anemone died, thought that was rare, maybe it will be mellow towards another maroon..i hope so. be cool to wake up to eggs some morning

Perfect time to attempt pairing is during tank upgrade. Both are new and neither has established. Def want to get one MUCH smaller than your current clown. Like half the size or smaller.
