Maroon clownfish not eating

I tried posting this in the disease forum but was not getting much action, so I will post here. Last Sunday, Nov. 29 I was feeding the fish in my 75 gal. (clownfish, orange spot goby, and bellus angel) and the clownfish suddenly stopped. This seemed strange to me because he has always eaten vigorously until every morsel in the tank is gone. The next day he did not eat at all and hasn't since. On that day I noticed he was quite bloated and I figured he was getting fat because I had increased my feedings from every other day to every day because of the angel. Throughout the last week I have noticed a different piece of poop hanging from him three different times and he has become less bloated and a bit more active.

What do you think? Did he over-eat and is just backed up, or is he sick?

Thanks for the help!

i have read a few times that fish need to go without food for a day or two for good digestion. never tried it, but maybe since you started feeding more often he made a pig of himself & is paying the price. just like us when we eat too much

Thanks, I hope that is the case as he did not eat again today but I did see him poop again before I fed. He still looks very healthy and I see no signs of illness except he may be breathing a bit faster than normal and is not moving around as much.

Has anyone had an otherwise healthy looking fish just abruptly stop eating after increasing the feeding schedule?
