maroon clowns

Well in my opinoin I think that they are fairly easy to get to host.Given the right conditions they will host. But they seem to host "Entacmea Qualricolor"a.k.a The Bubble Tip Anemone much more faster than any other Anemone in the home aquarium.

My maroon clown went strait to my Green Bubble Tip Anemone when he was placed in my tank and has guarded it fiercely for almost a year now. He rarely leaves it unless he out getting food.

I have a maroon that will jump into any bubble tip anemone it can find. It literally loves them to death. It has killed 3 so far. I gave up. My new anemone is now in my other tank .

Now the dam maroon is trying to host in my elegance coral. It is really a pain in the a$$. If it weren't such a nice looking fish I would get rid of it.

It wasn't like this when small, it is about 2.5- 3 inches now. It thinks it owns the tank, 90 gallon.

I would stay away unless you want to go crazy.

My Maroon pair was horrible to 2 anems that I got it. They litterally loved them to death like akriegsfeld's clowns. Mine were substantial in size - female being almost 5 inches.. Then, they started biting coral and fanning sand ALL OVER the tank and that was the end :-) Back to the LFS...
