I have a pair of gold stripes for a year now still did not breed. There in a 40 breeder. Could it be the lawnmower blenny it the tank be the problem they fight a little bit. They have a host .

Do you know how old they are? I believe just because they are a pair does not mean they are a mated pair. Someone should be along with more experience than me. I have had my pair for almost a year but they still seam a bit young to start spwning. Female is about 3.5", male is about 2". Again, I could be wrong.

Clownfish are hermaphroditic one clownfish in a tank will turn female eventually. So chances are very good yours is female. Try to add a smaller version and it will learn to be submissive and turn male.

The male is smaller than the female. My male is 3.5 and the male is 2.0 how big will they have to be to spawn.
