Maroon Lagoon V2.0

Looking great! What's the one below the confetti?

The one to the lower right is my GE The Upside Down.

Grabbed a couple more photos tonight while I was cutting frags.

I'm curious if you dosed aminos before the acropower accident?

I used to, I had stopped for a while due to not knowing whether the AcroPower was the cause of my mysterious acro health declines. I thought things have been looking steady for a while now, may as well start dosing again! No issues from the AcroPower still, nutrient levels have rebounded back up to what they were pre-dump.

What are your current nutrient levels?

Here's a graph of NO3 and PO4 during the period that I accidentally dosed he entire bottle of AcroPower and the days following. I haven't tested in a few days since I've been out of town for work. I'll be able to test again tonight when I'm back home.

Nitrates have stayed the same and phosphate shave slightly declined. I've been away for a few days, and it seems like my corals do look more colorful. It's hard to quantify that or confirm it, but my impression this afternoon was "ooooooh, colors!". Could just be that I haven't seen the tank in a while, or it could be the amino acid dump. Who knows!

Thought I would share some side photos of the tank. As usual, sorry for the less than superb iPhone photo quality...

This pink hyacinthus (the GE PCP [emoji16]) is getting insanely big. I feel like it's going to burst through my tank walls by the end of the year!

Nice. That’s some crazy sponge growth down there.
Love the big colonies and the location of your anemone.

Very cool and different. So you don't have any tangs? What's the algae growing in there? It doesn't get out of hand? That's a nice dragon colony too, I would be scared of bumping into that baby.

Thanks farmerty for making that nice video!

Beautiful shots!
I think I’ve asked this before but what’s the coral at the bottom of the last photo?
Is that the Bali shortcake?

I have a yellow tang, but the most timid and lazy tang that ignores all algae [emoji58] It's just ulva and it's pretty easy to remove by hand.

Oh that's good, I have seen a few lazy Yello tangs before. All had very good owners that feed well.

And that firecracker is my favorite deepwater ever! When I got my frag it even had the blue in it. But I haven't felt I could afford another since my tank went sideways. I sure would love to though because stuff looks so good. Update us on how yours looks every month or two if you would?

Haha yeah my yellow tang doesn't go hungry in my tank. I should get an algae greedy tang like a convict or something to mow down this ulva.

When I saw the Firecracker in person I instantly knew I had to have it. Paid a pretty penny for it too [emoji51] It was slow growing at first, but now has added a couple of branches and seem to be taking off now. I'll try and snap an update photo each month to document it's growth.

Well I got a little zealous with my fragging today and sheared off half my red dragon. Nothing a little super glue can't repair [emoji51]
